The Megaclusters engine may not have achieved the same level of success as Big Time Gaming’s wildly popular Megaways engine, but in our opinion, it’s far more appealing. It’s surprising that it hasn’t gained more traction. It plays a prominent role in Vegas Rush, essentially a blend of two previous Big Time Gaming releases. The game includes Reaction Wins that transform symbols into 4 smaller symbols, which are then replaced by new small symbols. Each successive reaction propels you up the modifier Megatrail, which also triggers the bonus round. This round features an enhanced Megatrail and allows you to win up to a substantial 47,200x your stake. We believe this engine is underappreciated, and fresh visuals may be beneficial in the future. Wins are achieved by landing 5 to 25+ matching symbols in a cluster anywhere on the grid, with the latter paying between 30 and 50 x your stake. Winning symbols are removed via the Reactions mechanic, each replaced by 4 smaller symbols. If the smaller symbols form a cluster win, they are replaced by new small symbols in a similar way to the regular cascading mechanic. The 5×5 grid can hold up to 100 symbols at best, courtesy of the Megaclusters feature. Consecutive reaction wins also advance you up the Megatrail Bonus Ladder on the left-hand side. Wild symbols can assist you here, as they substitute for pay symbols to enhance cluster wins regardless of their size. The Megatrail awards various modifiers and reaching the 7th rung during base gameplay secures the Bonus Round, which grants 6 free spins. The Megatrail is upgraded in the bonus round, featuring 12 rungs and a top rung prize of 2,000x your stake. Reaching rung 6 grants +3 extra spins, with a potential total of 99 free spins. Non-UK players and eligible individuals can purchase the bonus round for 60x the stake. There are some decent base game wins, and we also managed to win extra free spins. In Vegas Rush, they have essentially reused the visuals from Vegas Rush for the Millionaire Rush template. The result may not be their most creative work, but Vegas Rush is still a highly playable, engaging, and potentially rewarding release. You can win up to 33,050x your stake in the base game and up to 47,200x in the bonus round. The Megatrail system and Megaclusters mechanic make the game more engaging than average, with the combination of Megatrail and Megaclusters being a winning formula in our view. However, Vegas Rush’s visuals can seem rather cold, impersonal, and generic.
